VClock ("we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains how the application handles your data.

Data controller

The data controller for VClock is reachable at contact@vclock.eu. Contact us there for any privacy-related enquiry or to exercise your GDPR rights.

Data stored locally

VClock stores the following data exclusively in your browser's localStorage — nothing is transmitted to any server:

  • Preferences — theme, language, time format, zoom level, digit colour. Retained until you clear your browser's site data.
  • Alarms — alarm times and labels you have set. Retained until you clear your browser's site data.
  • Ad consent — your cookie consent choice (accepted or declined). Retained until you clear your browser's site data.

Advertising — Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When you accept cookies, Google AdSense may set cookies on your device and collect information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and approximate location in order to serve relevant advertisements. This constitutes processing of personal data under the GDPR. AdSense advertising cookies are retained for up to 13 months.

Google uses this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ad Settings.

If you decline cookies, no AdSense script is loaded and no cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4)

This site uses Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use VClock (pages visited, approximate location, device/browser type). Analytics cookies are set to denied by default (Google Consent Mode v2) and are only activated after you accept the cookie banner. Event data is retained by Google for up to 14 months.

You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by declining cookies in the consent banner.

Contact form — Formspree

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you submit are transmitted to and stored by Formspree, Inc. (USA) in order to deliver your message to us. See Formspree's Privacy Policy for details. Submissions are retained by Formspree for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

International data transfers

Google and Formspree are US-based companies. Where your data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this is done under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in each provider's own privacy policy linked above.

No other tracking

Outside of Google AdSense, Google Analytics (both only after consent), and Formspree (only if you submit the contact form), VClock contains no social-media tracking pixels and no other third-party scripts.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Processing via Google AdSense and Google Analytics is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Processing of contact-form submissions is based on your consent given by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time as described above.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@vclock.eu — we respond within 30 days. For data held by Google, you can also act directly via myaccount.google.com. For data stored locally in this app, open the Privacy Policy from the app footer, where you can download or delete all your locally stored data with one click — or clear your browser's site data for this domain directly.
